Types of industrial casters that can be electroplated
1, Types of castor plating
1. Hard chromium is a hard chromium layer with high hardness and
good wear resistance obtained
from chromium plating solution under the condition of strictly
controlling temperature and current
density (higher than decorative chromium plating).
2. By changing the working conditions of chromium plating solution,
milky chromium coating with less
pores, high corrosion resistance and low hardness can be obtained.
2, Oxidation and passivation
1. Anodizing usually refers to the treatment process in which
aluminum or aluminum alloy products or
parts, as anodes in a certain electrolyte and under specific
working conditions, produce a layer of
corrosion-resistant oxide film on their surface through the action
of DC current
2. Phosphated iron and steel parts are chemically treated in a
solution containing phosphate to form
a layer of phosphate protective film insoluble in water.
3. Bluing steel parts are chemically treated in a certain oxidation
medium to form a blue black
protective oxide film on their surface.
4. Chemical oxidation is the treatment process in which a layer of
oxide film is formed on the surface

5. Electrochemical oxidation is an electrochemical treatment

6. Chemical passivation is a treatment process in which a
passivation film is formed on the surface
of metal parts under the action of electrolyte solution without
external current.
7. Electrochemical passivation is a treatment process in which a

electrolyte solution is used as an anode and a passive film is
formed on its surface under the
action of DC.
3, Electrolysis
1. Electrolysis is the process of changing electrical energy into
chemical energy by oxidation and
reduction reactions on the anode and cathode respectively when the
external current passes
through the electrolyte.
2. Anode electrolysis is an electrolytic process in which parts are
used as anodes.
3. Cathode electrolysis is an electrolysis process in which parts
are used as cathode.
4, Pre plating treatment
1. Chemical degreasing is the process of removing oil dirt on the
surface of parts or products by
means of saponification and emulsification in alkali containing
solution.
2. Organic solvent degreasing is the process of removing oil scale
on the surface of parts or
products by using the dissolution of oil scale by organic solvent.
3. Electrochemical oil removal (i.e. electrolytic oil removal) the
process of removing oil dirt on the
surface of parts or products under the action of current with parts
as anode or cathode in a solution
containing alkali.
4. Chemical pickling is the process of removing rust and oxide on
the surface of metal parts in acid
containing solution.
5. Chemical polishing is a process in which metal parts are etched
for a short time in a certain
composition of solution and under specific conditions, so as to
level the surface of the parts and
obtain a brighter surface.
6. Polishing is the process of using grinding wheel to grind the
rough and uneven parts on the part
surface, so as to improve the flatness of the part surface.
7. Mechanical polishing is a machiningprocess in which parts are
slightly ground and leveled by
means of a high-speed polishing wheelwith fine abrasive and
polishing paste, so as to obtain
a bright surface.
8. Sand blasting uses purified compressed air to strongly spray dry
sand flow onto the surface of
metal parts for cleaning or roughening.
