Concept of stamping die
Stamping die, also known as stamping die, metal die and metal stamping die. It refers to a pressure

processing method that uses the die fixed on the punch or press to apply appropriate pressure on

metal or non-metallic materials to make the materials separate or plastic deformation, so as to obtain

the required parts.

The size, contour and appearance of the products processed by the die are basically the same. The

reason is that it can be formed quickly, with high efficiency and stable product quality. Although the

stamping die is an essential process equipment for stamping production and can be regarded as a

technology intensive product, its operation is simple, the labor intensity of workers is low, and the

technical requirements for operators are not high. As long as ordinary people come in, If you study a

little carefully, you can be handy in a few days. However, if you are the host of the production line, you

should also learn to operate the punch, feeder, leveling machine, mold base and mold, but these are

very simple jobs. You can have strength and be hardworking.

Even if the operation is simple, there are inevitably some safety problems. Pay attention to safety at

ordinary times. Don't put anything in the mold. Don't put wrenches, scissors and other tools in the mold.

After a mold repair comes to repair the mold (professional terminology: mold repair), you should watch it

before playing to see if they have forgotten anything in the mold, Of course, general mold repair will not

make such a mistake, but you should also pay attention. Don't break the mold or hurt your hands.

Remember to be safe when doing this. If you accidentally forget to take out the things in the mold, the

punch may break the mold. What if the things in the mold fly out? People can get hurt, too. Sometimes

when forklift forks the mold, the mold falls off without forking well. At this time, don't help it with your hands.

Let's stay away. It's okay if the mold is broken. Don't hit people; When the crown block hoists the mold,

you should also pay attention to stay away from the mold. Be careful that the mold will shake and touch.

It is often easy to have accidents in the mold industry or in dealing with molds. Newcomers should pay

special attention to these safety matters when entering the factory.

Structure introduction of stamping die
The structure of the stamping die, the structure of the stamping die and the die structure are similar.

The corresponding die is designed according to different product characteristics and needs. Different

die structures have different functions and different products. Generally speaking, they are simple and

complex. However, no matter how complex the structure is, its basic structure is unchanged, nothing

more than several templates, input blocks and standard parts.

The mold is generally composed of several templates, parts (we call it input block or sub) and standard

parts.

The formwork of the upper mold includes: upper support plate, upper pad foot, upper mold base (UPU),

upper pad (ubu), upper splint (Phu), stop baffle (PPS), stripper plate (PSU);
The formwork of the lower formwork includes: lower formwork (die), lower backing plate (LBD), lower

formwork base (LPD), lower backing foot and lower support plate;

Classification of stamping dies
There are many forms of stamping dies. Stamping dies are also classified according to process nature,

process combination and product processing method.

1, Classification according to process properties
1. Blanking die
A mold that separates material along a closed or open contour.

2. Bending die
A die for bending a blank or other blank along a straight line or bending curve to obtain a workpiece

with a certain angle and shape.

3. Drawing die
It is to make the rough embryo of board material into open hollow parts.

4. Forming die
The rough embryo or semi-finished product is directly copied and formed according to the shape of

the concave convex die in the drawing. Although it is copied, the material itself will also undergo

some plastic deformation.

5. Riveting die
With a certain external force, the parts involved are connected together in a certain order and

manner, so as to form a whole system.

2, Classification according to operation combination degree

1. Single process Die

A die that participates in only one stamping process.

2. Compound mode
A die that participates in two or more stamping processes at the same station at the same time.

3. Progressive die
Also known as continuous die, it can participate in more than two stamping processes at different

stations.

4. Transfer mode
With the characteristics of single process die and progressive die, the rapid transfer of products in

the die can be realized by using the manipulator transfer system, which can greatly improve the

production efficiency of products, reduce the production and raw material cost of products, and the

quality is quite reliable.

3, Classification according to the processing method of products

1. Punching and shearing die: the work is completed by shearing. The common forms include cutting

die, blanking die, punching die, trimming die, edge forming die, broaching die and punching and

cutting die.

2. Bending die: refers to a die that bends a blank or semi-finished product into a certain shape.

3. Drawing mould: it refers to a kind of mould for making flat rough embryo into bottomed seamless

container.

4. Forming mold: it refers to changing the shape of wool embryo by integrating various small

deformation "integration".

5. Compression mold: a mold that deforms the wool embryo through absolute strong pressure.
