2. Contents and methods of first inspection, intermediate sampling inspection and caster inspection:
1. Hardness
1) The hardness test or random inspection shall be carried out according to the drawing requirements

and process regulations. Proof the hardness tester with a standard block, and then test the hardness

after confirmation. Quenched parts are tested with a Rockwell hardness tester.

2) The hardness testing position should be determined according to the process document or by the

inspection and technical personnel. The hardness of the quenched part shall be checked at not less

than 1 point, and each point shall not be less than 3 points. Generally, the unevenness of the

hardness value should be less than or equal to 5 degrees HRC.

3) Before testing the hardness, the surface of the part should be cleaned to remove the oxide scale,

decarburization layer and burrs, and there should be no obvious machining marks on the surface.

The temperature of the tested part is subject to room temperature, or slightly higher than room

temperature but As long as the human hand can grasp it firmly.

2. Deformation
1) Use a feeler gauge to inspect the unevenness of thin plate parts on the inspection platform.
2) Support both ends of shaft parts with a top or V-shaped block, and measure their radial runout

with a dial indicator. Small shaft parts can be checked with a feeler gauge on the platform.
3) For ring parts, use dial indicators, vernier calipers, plug gauges, inner diameter dial indicators,

thread plug gauges, ring gauges, etc. to check the dimensions of the outer circle, inner hole, and

thread of the parts.
4) Special testing tools for non-standard tested threads and special parts.
3. Appearance: Observe with the naked eye whether there are cracks, burns, bumps, pitting, rust,

etc. on the surface. For important parts or parts prone to cracks, use methods such as immersion

in kerosene and sandblasting.

1. Compress (stretch, twist) the finished caster bottom plate five times to the height (length or working

limit twist angle) under the working limit load, measure the height (or length, angle) for the fourth

2. Fatigue test, impact test, simulation test of caster bottom plate: testing equipment test.
3. The load and dimensional tolerances, surface shape and position tolerances of the finished caster

bottom plate should be checked after the permanent deformation, but the load and dimensional

tolerances should also be qualified before the permanent deformation.
4. Visual inspection of the surface quality of the bottom plate of the caster.
